19th Rozgar Mela: PM Modi Appoints 51,000 Youth


Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually gave over 51 thousand appointment letters for government jobs on Saturday. The youngsters who received these appointment letters belonged to the Railways, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Health Department, the Financial Services, and the Higher Education.

This time, the Rozgar Mela will be organized in 47 cities across the country. After the event, PM Modi interacted with these individuals.

The government says that the Rozgar Mela is a major scheme to provide jobs to the country’s youth. During the previous 18 Rozgar Melas, around 12 lakh appointments have been given.

During the event, PM Modi said, “Today, every Indian is moving forward with a big resolution, which is to build a developed India by 2047. To achieve this goal, the country is investing in various sectors, and this investment is creating millions of new employment opportunities for the youth of the country.”

Key highlights from the Prime Minister’s statement at Rozgar Mela

1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “During this visit to five countries, I interacted with leaders of several major global companies. We held detailed discussions and meetings. Everywhere, I consistently felt that the world is extremely excited about India’s youth and India’s technological progress.”

2. The Prime Minister said that discussions with the Netherlands focused on semiconductors, water management, and agriculture. Talks with Sweden centered on cooperation in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital innovation. Discussions with Norway advanced cooperation in green technology and maritime sectors, and agreements related to partnerships were reached.

3. He added that cooperation with countries like Sweden, Norway, and Italy in green transition and sustainable technology is also increasing. Partnerships with the United Arab Emirates and Norway will strengthen India’s shipbuilding ecosystem.

4. Modi said, “We must remember that these are the sectors in which upcoming investments and partnerships will shape global development for the next four decades. India’s youth will play a very major role in this.”

5. Earlier, the PM posted on the social media platform X, stating that the government is continuously working for the better future of the youth and to empower them. He said that the Rozgar Mela is providing an opportunity for the youth to get government jobs.

Rozgar Mela started in October 2022

The Prime Minister had launched the first phase of the Rozgar Mela on October 22, 2022. At that time, the PM had said, “Our target was to provide 10 lakh government jobs to the youth of the country by the end of 2023.”

Before the Lok Sabha elections, the 12th Rozgar Mela was organized on February 12, 2024, in which a record 1 lakh job letters were distributed. The figure of 11 lakh was completed in 2025.

18th Rozgar Mela: Modi said – Today, many startups have women directors

PM Modi distributed 61 thousand job letters to youth in the 18th Rozgar Mela. These appointments have been made in the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Department of Financial Services, the Department of Higher Education, and other departments.

In his virtual address, the PM said that our effort is to provide new opportunities to the youth.

Women are leading in startups across the country. The rate of women’s self-employment has increased by 15%. Today, more than 8000 daughters received appointment letters. The rate of women’s self-employment has increased by 15%.

Today, many startups have women directors. Women are heading many employment initiatives in villages.
