SSC has started registrations for CGL Examination 2026. Candidates can apply till June 22. Tier 1 exams will be held in August-September, while Tier 2 is scheduled for December 2026.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started the application process for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2026. Interested candidates can apply online through the official SSC website ssc.gov.in.
The last date to submit the application form is June 22, 2026. The correction window will open from June 29 to July 1, 2026, allowing candidates to make changes in their forms.
SSC CGL Tier 1 examination will be conducted in August and September 2026, while the Tier 2 exam is scheduled for December 2026.

Selection process
The recruitment process will include two computer-based exams:
If the exam is conducted in different shifts, SSC will normalise the marks using its official method to prepare the final merit list and cut-off marks.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam pattern
- Total Questions: 100
- Total Marks: 200
- Exam Duration: 1 hour
The exam will have objective-type multiple-choice questions. Questions will be available in both English and Hindi, except the English Comprehension section.
Application fee
The application fee is Rs 100.
Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and eligible Ex-servicemen categories do not have to pay the fee.
