• Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying: Recruiting for JE Civil.

Eligibility Criteria for SSC JE 2026

Candidates must meet educational and age criteria as of the crucial cutoff date (August 1, 2026).

1. Educational Qualifications

• JE (Civil / Electrical / Mechanical): Degree in the relevant branch of engineering, OR 3-year Diploma in the relevant branch with required work experience for specific departments like BRO and MES.

• JE (Telecom): B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science, IT, or Instrumentation.

• Scientific Assistant (IMD): Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics as a primary subject, OR B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science, IT, or Instrumentation.

2. Age Limit (as on 01.08.2026)

• Standard Posts: Upper age limit of 30 years (born between 02.08.1996 and 01.08.2008).

• CPWD & DGLL Posts: Upper age limit of 32 years (born between 02.08.1994 and 01.08.2008).

• Age Relaxation: SC/ST (+5 years), OBC (+3 years), PwBD (+10 to +15 years).

SSC JE 2026 Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The recruitment process consists of two Computer-Based Examinations (CBE) followed by Document Verification.

• Paper-I (2 Hours): Objective test covering General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and Core Domain Knowledge.

• Paper-II (2 Hours): Advanced domain-specific paper testing core technical competence.

• Document Verification: Conducted directly by the respective user departments after the final result declaration.

How to Apply Online for SSC JE 2026

1. Visit the official website at ssc.gov.in.

2. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) if not registered previously on the new portal.

3. Log in using your Registration Number and Password.

4. Go to the “Live Examinations” tab and click Apply under “Junior Engineer Examination, 2026”.

5. Select post preferences, upload a live photograph and signature, and fill in educational details.

6. Pay the application fee (₹100 for General/OBC male candidates; exempt for Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM) and submit.
