Karur, July 10 (APAC Media): Tamil Nadu CM Vijay on Friday met families affected by the Karur stampede and handed over government job appointment orders to eligible next of kin of those who lost their lives.
The initiative is part of the state government’s rehabilitation efforts to help bereaved families regain financial stability.
Along with the job orders, several beneficiaries also received assistance under various welfare schemes.
Govt Jobs to Support Affected Families
The compassionate appointments aim to provide long-term financial security to families who lost their primary earning members in the tragedy.
The government said the measure is part of its commitment to support affected families beyond immediate relief.
CM Vijay Also Distributes Welfare Benefits
Apart from the appointment orders, the Chief Minister distributed welfare assistance to eligible beneficiaries under different state schemes.
The support is intended to help families rebuild their lives and access government services more effectively.
Official Programme of CM Vijay Held in Karur
The appointment orders were handed over during an official function at the Karur District Collectorate.
Earlier in the day, CM Vijay met local residents and addressed a public gathering before interacting with the affected families.
Focus on Long-Term Rehabilitation
The Tamil Nadu government has positioned the initiative as a long-term rehabilitation measure rather than a one-time relief package.
By combining compassionate appointments with welfare assistance, the government aims to provide sustained support to families recovering from the tragedy.
