New Delhi (06.08.2026): Amid widespread public debate surrounding examination integrity across various national testing bodies, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has maintained a flawless record, reporting zero paper leak incidents over the past five years.
Despite the fact that the Commission continues to face logistical and infrastructural challenges regarding quality and quantity of facilities at certain examination centers, its core security architecture has rendered question paper leaks a remote possibility.
Operational Management:
The SSC has successfully conducted all recruitment examinations over the past five years without a single paper leak breach. In the past three years out of five, SSC examinations were conducted in collaborations with IT major Infosys. But the last two examinations were conducted directly by the SSC itself, under the leadership of Chairman Gopalakrishnan S (IAS: 1991: TN).
The Security Framework & Algorithmic Vaults:
The cornerstone of SSC’s leak-proof record lies in its automated question-selection and delivery protocol. Besides, SSC maintains its own secure digital question repositories rather than relying on pre-printed or static paper sets.
To make it more secure, SSC dispatches question papers digitally to the testing centers 15 to 20 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the examination leaving no scope of any malpractice.
As a further safety mechanism, an automated algorithm randomly selects and compiles the final question set at the last minute. This system ensures that no human entity — including top commission officials — can predict or view the final paper set in advance. This makes the system flawless and examinations leak-proof.
