The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared the final result of the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical) Examination, 2025, provisionally recommending 1,731 candidates for appointment after completing the sliding and identity verification process.
With the declaration of the final result, the Commission has also released the final allocation of candidates to various departments. According to the official notice, all 1,731 reported vacancies have been filled through provisional recommendations.
Final allocation completed after sliding process
The final allocation follows the sliding and identity verification exercise conducted on July 20 and 21, 2026.
Candidates who did not report for the verification process were treated as absent and were not considered for the final allocation.
During the process:

585 candidates opted for the ‘Fix’ option, retaining their allotted post.

1,028 candidates selected the ‘Float’ option, allowing them to be considered for a higher-preference post if one became available.

118 candidates received fresh allocations against vacancies created due to absent candidates.
The Commission said the final allocation has been prepared based on candidates’ merit, post preferences submitted during the application process, and the Fix/Float option exercised during the sliding process.
Category-wise recommendations
According to the official data, the category-wise distribution of the 1,731 provisionally recommended candidates is:

Unreserved (UR): 780

Other Backward Classes (OBC): 432

Scheduled Castes (SC): 270

Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 127

Scheduled Tribes (ST): 122
The final selection list also includes candidates recommended under various Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, wherever applicable.
What happens next?
With the final result now declared, the recruitment process moves to the respective user departments, which will carry out document verification and issue appointment letters.
SSC has clarified that it will not handle queries related to document verification or appointments after the declaration of the final result.
Candidates who do not receive any communication from their allotted department within six months have been advised to contact the concerned department directly.
No waiting list to be prepared
The Commission has also clarified that no reserve list or waiting list has been prepared for the recruitment.
If any selected candidate does not join, the resulting vacancy will not be filled from a waiting list. Instead, the vacancy will be carried forward by the concerned department in a future recruitment cycle.
Fresh ranks issued
SSC has assigned fresh ranks to all candidates included in the final result. These will replace the ranks published during the earlier tentative allocation process.
The Commission further stated that the final answer key, candidates’ response sheets and detailed marks of both selected and non-selected candidates will be uploaded on its official website in due course.
